Kilworth House Hotel in Leicestershire are the regional winners of the coveted Best Hotel Wedding Venue Award for the East Midlands in The 2024 Wedding Industry Awards.
We caught up with Kilworth House Hotel Sales Manager, Sarah Johnston to find out how the team are feeling after their win.
“The whole team were so thrilled to receive this accolade, which was voted by former wedding couples, so it genuinely means so much to be presented with. The recognition of the fabulous effort the whole team go to for every single wedding means such a lot!
Weddings are truly at the heart of Kilworth House Hotel and are such an integral part of who we are and what we do. We love being able to welcome couples from the very first look round with a glass of Champagne to future visits on their wedding anniversary each year; we want everyone to feel like they are part of the Kilworth family.
At Kilworth House we are lucky enough to have a beautiful mix of stunning function spaces available for weddings, ranging from intimate celebrations for 10 up to larger festivities for up to 130, and even the option to hire the whole hotel exclusively from £9945.
Being licensed for the civil ceremony means everything can be done onsite if couples are looking for one venue for all elements of the wedding, but we are also nearby to several beautiful local churches which are ideal for those wanting a service elsewhere to the reception.”
The hotel boasts 44 bedrooms including interconnecting family rooms. A ‘must see’ is the Staging Post log cabin, a cosy private retreat snuggled away in the grounds available for weddings up to 54 during select months.”
The original Victorian Orangery is the highlight of the hotel offering beautiful natural light and a real sense of occasion. There are beautiful views across the lawns and glass doors open out onto the terrace allowing for pre-dinner drinks and mingling under the stars in the evening. The Orangery really is a stunning reception room which can’t help capture the imagination.
