Chelsea and Jamie said “We do” surrounded by friends and family and an abundance of floral displays at Moxhull Hall in Warwickshire.
The wedding was photographed by husband and wife team Elen Studio Photography. We asked Chelsea to tell us more about how they chose their venue and planned their dream wedding.
Chelsea, tell us a little about why you chose Moxhull Hall for your wedding.
Moxhull Hall had all the fairytale vibes as well as the elegance we were after. After lots of research, we made a list of our top five favourite venues, and Moxhull Hall was at the very top. We booked a viewing and said to each other if we found anything we disliked at Moxhull Hall then we will look at the other four venues. However, seeing it in real life made us fall in love with it even more. Jamie had been very laid back about starting the wedding planning up until this point, but looking around Moxhull Hall sparked his excitement in it all so I knew at that point we needed to say yes!
Out of the many special memories what was the most exciting moment ?
For me, walking down the aisle was the most exciting part of the day. It’s something lots of girls dream about from when they’re little, and that moment was everything I’d ever hoped it would be. Wearing the most beautiful dress in the world, linking my amazing dad’s arm in a spectacular venue, walking towards the love of my life who was holding our beautiful ten month old daughter and the tear-filled eyes of all of our loved ones on us. It was a dream come true. It was in that moment that all the stress of the wedding planning went away; it was incredible.
Did anything happen that you hadn’t planned for?
Yes, when the registrars asked if anyone had any objections to our marriage during the ceremony, our ten month old daughter decided to let out a cry! Everyone laughed, and we were just hoping it wasn’t an omen!

You clearly gave thought to your guests. What food did you serve?
We chose to have a formal sit-down meal for our wedding breakfast. Following on from our food tasting experience at the venue, I opted for a pescatarian meal and Jamie chose a meat option. I chose a smoked haddock fishcake starter, marinated cod fillet main course, and a chocolate fondant dessert. Jamie chose a wild mushroom risotto starter, lamb shank main course, and tropical Eton Mess dessert. Our guests were thrilled to have options as not many venues allow this. Everyone commented on how beautiful the food was and how full they were afterwards!
Looking back on your day, is there anything you would do differently?
I would have a videographer as well as a photographer. Myself and Jamie initially discussed it, but Jamie felt nervous about having someone film him all day, so we opted to just have a photographer to take the pressure off a bit. However in hindsight it would be lovely to have a video to look back on as well as our photos.
Do you have any advice or tips you’d like to share with other couples?
Yes. It’s YOUR day. Accepting that you will not be able to please everybody is the key to happiness on your wedding planning journey. All decisions made need to be made by you both, and not other people. Only then will you look back with no regrets.
