Engaged! Dani & Dan

Dani said ‘yes’ to Dan when he popped the big question ‘somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea’ but a ‘turtle’ nearly ruined the whole event!

Dani told us how the big moment unfolded:

“We got engaged aboard a boat on the Med, somewhere off the coast of Fig Tree Bay, Cyprus. My fiancé rented a speed boat and we went up and down the coast, we were swimming with sea turtles.

The proposal almost didn’t happen as I thought I’d found a dead sea turtle and my fiancé said that would have ruined the moment and he wouldn’t have popped the question! Luckily it turned out to be a rock!

After spotting a few more fully alive turtles we got back on the boat. It was then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said ‘YES!’ and he produced a bottle of champagne from a hidden away cool box and we enjoyed a glass of fizz together as a newly engaged couple as the sun set across the Mediterranean Sea before sailing back to the beach.”
